Bloodhound Breeding Program at Rahndell Farm
Producing champion-quality bloodhounds with exceptional health, structure, and temperament since 1990.
About Sanctuary Hounds and Pointers
Sanctuary Hounds & Pointers since 1990.
Since 1990, our mission has been to produce high-quality show dogs that have the health, structure, and temperament to perform the tasks that they were originally bred to do.
At Rahndell Farm, our bloodhounds are raised as part of our family in a natural, farm environment. They grow up surrounded by the sights, sounds, and experiences that shape confident, well-adjusted dogs. From puppyhood, they learn to navigate the world with the gentle curiosity and steady temperament that makes the bloodhound such a beloved breed.
We breed selectively, prioritizing health and longevity above all else. Every breeding decision is made with careful consideration of genetics, health testing, pedigree, and the individual qualities that make each dog exceptional.
In 2023, after years of following the breed in Europe, Tim and Deirdre began their journey with Bracco Italiano with the help of their friend Susanna Anderson, of Legend Bloodhounds and Bracchi Italiani.
Tim is already enjoying the show ring with "Marco" Legend's Marco Abella, who recently finished his AKC Championship by winning Winner's Dog and Best of Winners at the Regional Specialty held in conjunction with the American Bracco Italiano National Specialty Show.
